What a trip this semester has been. This poetry class was a healthy outlet for an emotionally tough semester. Writing can be a lonely process, but so can laying tile. I believe just being in the room with all of you talented writers made me better. I really liked our teacher Mat’s idea on “failing.” The idea of not being afraid to fail was motivating as well as freeing. If you are not failing, you are probably not testing yourself. I am sure Eminem had some rhymes where he was like, “Did I just rhyme purple with Steve Urkle?” Throughout the semester my method of writing was to write a lot of poems and believe that eventually one would resonate, and I’d be like “that’s me.”
I wish you all the best of luck.

Hi Jessi!
Thanks so much for the work you've done this semester. I can't access this google drive for some reason. If you can grant me permission, great. If not, no worries. Thanks again for a great semester!
Hi Jessi! I agree, what a trip this semester has been. It's so nice being able to fall into writing poetry and not to be afraid of failing with it, it was a fun class and I enjoyed reading your work.
