This poem entitled "Momentary" written by A.E. Stallings, in my opinion, directs the attention of the audience to the image of the snake that her speaker is describing. The language that Stallings utilizes is one of movement. Each stanza, I feel, represents a new garden scene in which the garden snake that the speaker witnesses slivers around in a new way, and appears in another location within the speaker's garden.
