Better to remember the drink rather
than the name. Late nights make it more
difficult to remember. Especially when lobbyists
offer shots. Lobbyist who do coke but have loud
clean jokes. Some people keep to themselves
like the old timer with the posture of Quasimodo.
Doesn't say much but when he does,
it resonates.
He plays like he might order something
other than a gin and tonic. But we both know.
There's the Scottish and Irishman who have
been here since 11AM.
Everyday. Like clockwork.
We all have our routines. There's just happens
to be
up at 3
Bar by 11
bed by 5. Wise words
like, "You gotta make time for love, lad." Sounds good
with an Irish accent.
The real estate agent chimes in, "Make time for the ones
who want to speak into the mic."
Smiling eyes from these older
folks. Like they're happy to be alive.
I'll listen.

I'm open for any feedback. What did you like? Anything else, please keep to yourselves. Just kidding. All of you are awesome.
As soon as I read the first line I was intrigued, "Better to remember the drink rather than the name", when I read that it almost felt like better to remember nothing about a person whether it was a friend, relationship, etc. I enjoyed all the details in this poem that make you visualize it in a great way. I'm curious though what person you're trying to block away/forget about. Overall though great job!!!
