Time

Time might not be as fixed a concept as many believe it to be. For me, at the intersection of oppression I see a complex conversation happening about time and a multiplicity and fluidity that seeks to subvert a dominant view of time. In class I gave you a mini-zine dealing with Queer Time. Here is a video that discusses "CP Time." https://www.ted.com/talks/brittney_cooper_the_racial_politics_of_time?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare

You'll also want to consider "Crip Time." Ellen Samuels has an excellent creative non-fiction piece called "Six Ways of Looking at Crip Time" in Disabilities Studies Quarterly about this topic.

As we think about what it means to write not out of luxury but out of necessity in order to create a more equal future, consider how our authors/mentor texts use and subvert our views of time.
