For me, I'd like to see a little more indirection as this poem deals with a previous love pretty directly. Like if the person has an aura--what strange object could describe it? What was the melody like? What kind of a monsoon? or what figure/animal/type of person is in the middle of the monsoon?
I remember talking about in class how sometimes the title can mean a million things or it can mean nothing or you can read the entire poem and not understand it but the title gives you all the information you need. I really liked this poem, I like all the details that make it whole and pure. After reading it a few times it definitely seemed like the poem was about a old relationship that she/he let go of and starting by talking about the good memories of him walking into the room and being so happy by his presence to ending the poem with almost it seemed getting rid of his memories completely and it becoming quite sad. I like the details of the feelings surged quickly like moonshine, that line did it for me. I really enjoyed this poem and felt like it was very straight forward and easy to go along with.
