Mariam's Log
On Monday April 10, we started off the class figuring out who needed to present. Mat said if by the end of the semester you did not get a chance to write a log, its okay. But, everyone needs to have done a mini genre presentation (that is a part of your grade!). Once that was all sorted out, Mat read the daily poem Movement Song by Audre Lorde. Mavrick read his log from last class. Mariam did her mini presentation on communication through color and music in breaking bad, pointing out foreshadowing and symbolism throughout the show. Ralyen also did her mini genre presentation on zodiac signs; there is an instagram page you can follow that frequently posts descriptions based on zodiac signs.
After presentations, Mat reminded us about telling him our expected grade range (i.e. 93-100; 80-87) on the note card. If he does not think your grade will be within that range then he will let you know. He also reminded us about revising our second papers; we can go see him or go to the writing center for editing.
For the third project, our pitch is going to be done in class on April 12. To help explain how to pitch, we watched a video "6 Elevator pitches for the 21st century" which walked through a certain format Mat like:

We then sat in our four person groups to see where everyone was at with their pitches and ideas for project 3.
