Syllabus Changes
Hello students! I hope Hurricane Irma had minimal impact on your lives. We'll need to make some changes to the syllabus in class tomorrow due to the recent cancellations. We'll take an informal survey of how best to rearrange due dates for drafts and the conference schedules and revise accordingly. (We'll also shift presentation dates for those who were scheduled during the canceled classes.)
In the meantime, as stated in the syllabus, your blog post for Chapter 5 of the Bedford Book of Genres is due by 6am tomorrow morning (September 18).
Also, come prepared to share your ideas for topics for projects 1 and 2 with the class.
Because, now, we have less time for class discussions, let's comment on blog posts 4, 5, and 6. Each student should leave at least three comments for each blog post by 6am on their respective due dates. One of these comments should be on a comment left by another student--a response to a comment. Let's try to build some "threads" on the blog posts. Leave your comments in the comment section of our class website because not all student blogs have the comment feature enabled. This also gives us a central place for the comments.
