-Notecards were passed around for taking attendance. On the notecard we had to draw a diagram of our projects 1 and 2.

-Listened to a poem titled, “Having a Coke with You.”

-Mat reminded us that we need to sign up for conferences as slots are running out.

-Then we continued the discussion of people’s topics. We made a circle again to discuss (plans for project, ask question, make suggestion). He noted that the advice that applies to one person may very well apply to you.

-He emphasized that the project is a personal story and that it is almost better not to write about a written text at all but about something meaningful. It is a narrative, not an essay. It has to be 1,000 words.

-We looked at past examples to help. If you need a reference, you can look at Ethan Vaughan’s Recipe Book on wix. It is not cheating to go and look at what people have written. It is cheating to copy and paste words.

-Meeting one more time on Tuesday (an important time). Again, the 1,000 word assignment is a personal narrative and individual story that you’re trying to recreate for the reader. You’re not necessarily trying to preach a message. You will also most certainly use the pronoun, “I”.
