· Started with a poem about trees

· Watched a dance moms video and discussed how its all chaos and the director is now in jail

· Listened to monica lead discussion

· Talked a lot about what analysis is

· Subject, occasion, audience, purpose, speaker, tone

o EPO

· Ethos, pathos, logos

· We watched "this is your brain on drugs" where the guy cooked an egg and compared it to your brain

o showing drugs are good for you, comparing them to breakfast

o Mat said "if that’s my brain on drugs, I want that"

· Then we watched a video of the same thing 10 years later and specifically Heroin

o Mat said heroin is probably too much for him and wouldn’t like that "egg," but other drugs are still okay

· Finally we watched a gay marriage video and one more of a sketch artist drawing people without seeing them
