BBG - Bedford Book of Genres
There's been some issues with the required text for the class. Here are a couple points concerning the situation.
1. Use your resources. There's lots of ways to get access to the book and/or older versions of the book. Figuring all that out might not be worth the money you save by not buying the book, but it might be worth it to you. A copy of the BBG can be a very useful resource, even throughout your college career.
2. If you bought a print copy from the bookstore, you should return it. They will refund you, according to Alyssa Spencer. So if the bookstore tells you otherwise, they are wrong. You can and should return the print book they sold you and get the updated digital version.
