We started class with an index card on our research question (trick question: the question is on Mat’s website). Mat informed us that we are NOT meeting in class on Monday!!!!!!We are meeting at 8 AM right past the turnstiles of Strozier Library. We are going to need at least 2 sources with 150 word annotations when we’re in the library. Unfortunately we did not get to do presentations because the people who were to do them were absent (oh boy). Amanda then split the class in half and we worked on “Consider the Lobster” in groups. In each group there was a leader, speaker, researcher, recorder, and time keeper. Amanda instructed us to list 3-5 of the most important details from the reading and then identify the purpose and the audience. Both groups then exchanged speakers to exchange information on what we interpreted the purpose of the article to be.
