Log 7/25/19

Mat started the day by saying we’re not doing notecards because he didn’t feel like going up stairs to get some. Nobody complained. He also said it’s important to remember we’re not meeting on Monday because we have conferences which are in Mat’s office to go over our paper and grades. We then signed up for the conferences which are on Monday and Tuesday. The next order of business was knocking out 4 presentations. Arianna presented about the show Euphoria which is about poor choices and drugs. David presented about the Real Bros of Simi Valley, which is a mock reality tv show. Anthony presented about the Casey Anthony trial because it was recently the anniversary of the verdict. Justyn presented about the podcast “No Jumper” which is a podcast where Adam 22 interviews famous people like rappers and actors. We went over questions on project 2. The polished podcast (along with the campaign project) is due next Thursday. It has to remediate concepts of project 2 and has to have more happening than simply the student talking. There seemed to be a lot of confusion on this, but we got it cleared up for the most part. We then went over how to site an interview for project 2 and briefly went over the setup for MLA format. Following, we differentiated between works cited (sources cited in paper) and bibliography (larger collection of relevant sources). For the last few minutes, we went over any questions we had on project 2 before we had to turn it in on Monday and Mat made some key clarifications for everyone.
