We started out class by writing down who wrote one of our sources and why the source influenced our thinking on index cards. Josie then gave her presentation on the environment and how vital it is to have clean water. After this, we discussed how we could make our research papers easier to read and follow, by including “pull quotes” and headings. Then, Phillip gave his presentation on Last Chance U and further discussed genre in regard to this TV show. We then revisited plagiarism, specifically, what is considered “common knowledge” and how to correctly cite our sources by going over examples and determining if they are plagiarized or not. We finished class by reviewing the first 2 sources from our annotated bibliography in our small groups and discussed how we are going to incorporate these sources into our papers.
